The Port of Felixstowe South reconfiguration and extension involved driving a total of 170 large interlocking tubular piles.

Two PTC 130HD Vibrodrivers supplied by BPH Equipment were used to partially drive the 2,560mm x 38m long piles. The piles were then driven to level using two BSP CG300 (20t ram) Impact Hammers also supplied by BPH Equipment with special slotted cap and sleeve arrangement adapted to accommodate the ‘L-T interlocking’ system used to connect each pile to the next
