The site location is a rural area within the Green Belt, though there are houses on the opposite side of the road.
During heavy rainfall the Combined Sewer Overflow chambers overflow and result in partially treated waste water being discharged directly into Clancutt Brook.
The project is the construction of a new Segmental shaft reinforced concrete water retention tank, discharge, overflows chambers and associated pipework. The project is valued at around £4 Million
The tanks are capable of holding 800,000m³ whilst running at 75%.
BPH Equipment supplied BBRCEL a Kobelco CKE 1350 (135 ton) crawler crane to help assist with the construction works.Back to news
